Punjab Technical University

IAIT in collaboration with Punjab Technical University (PTU) in Delhi and has setup a centre of excellence to provide quality education in the field of IT and Management through the Distance Education programs. IAIT in collaboration with PTU has a mission to provide excellent education to the students and thus grooming them to be great leaders in the corporate world.

Punjab Technical University (PTU) was established by an act of State Legislature on 16 th Jan-1997, to promote Technical, Management & Pharmaceutical education in the state at the Degree level and above.

One of the main focuses of the University is in the area of professional & skill oriented technologies to the masses. The University has undertaken the task of training students to help in the development of skilled manpower in this sector in the country. With this goal in mind, the University is promoting a number of courses in different streams under distance education programs. Now the university, under its administration, is offering Courses in Management and IT Disciplines under distance education programme.

The PTU provided programs are being revamped by the University so that they are more suited to the current need of the corporate world. At IAIT a lot of progressive moves have been undertaken to modernize the mode of teaching.

Punjab Technical University is recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC), Ministry of HRD and is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), it is recognized by Distance Education Council (DEC) and by AICTE.
